Continuing Education
It is critical to provide ongoing educational growth and professional development opportunities for staff and CASA Volunteers as policies and practices evolve and as the courts and child welfare system change. It is essential to monitor changes and best practices in the field and train and learn how to address these changes and implement best practices. CASA Volunteers are required to complete 12 hours of ongoing Continuing Education each year to stay current on relevant topics and ensure they continue to grow in their knowledge of the child welfare system. Continuing Education focuses on a wide variety of topics that are applicable to child advocacy work.
