LUNCH & LEARN: Child Protective Investigations and Services 101 Training
Have you ever wanted to know what happens after abuse or neglect is reported to DFPS o what types of programs and services are offered to families involved with DFPS?? This presentation will give you an overview of the Child Protective Investigations (CPI) and Child Protective Services (CPS) divisions of DFPS. CPI is responsible for investigating reports of child abuse or neglect to determine if any child in the family has been abused or neglected. CPS responsibilities include providing services to children and families in their own homes, placing children in foster care, providing services to help youth in foster care successfully transition to adulthood, and helping children get adopted.
