Continuing Ed: Caring for LGBTQ+ Youth 201: A Deeper Dive for Foster & Adoptive Caregivers
Using an intersectional lens and a case study format, this webinar will go beyond the basics to explore best practices in providing affirming homes. We will cover how to support the young person as they come out and continue through the milestones of adolescence. We recommend that participants join the webinar with an understanding of SOGIE definitions as well as the risk and protective factors for LGBTQ+ youth in child welfare.
