Continuing Ed: Texas Department of Family and Protective Services - Faith-Based Child Abuse Prevention
The Faith-Based and Community Engagement division of Texas DFPS has identified three Faith-Based Partners with an exceptional ministry, program or event that focus on support services for families in need that play a vital role in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Our panelists will share how their ministry started and provide tools, tip and resources for you to do the same or something similar within your congregation, organization or community. The ministries and programs highlighted will include safe sleep education, providing free pack n plays to families, parent education, mental health and basic need support services.
