In February 2018, Congress authorized the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), providing states with new flexibility in how they can use Federal Title IV-E funding to prevent children from entering the foster care system and prioritize keeping children in foster care in the most family-like settings. Please join us for a webinar on Wednesday, September 4 at 12:00 p.m. to get an overview of this new law and participate in a discussion about the implications of FFPSA on the Texas Child Welfare System. Former DFPS Commissioner and Current Policy Consultant with Casey Family Programs, Anne Heilegenstein, will walk us through the new law and the Public Policy Team will discuss CASA’s role in serving the best interest of children as FFPSA comes to Texas.
