CASA hosts Men of Courage Event at 4ORE! Golf to encourage more men to fight for a child in foster care

Far too often children in foster care don’t have a positive male influence in their lives and are forced to face a storm of chaos during their time in the foster care system. They don’t have a consistent individual who will be a voice for their best interest and make sure they remain a priority. More men are needed to stand up, be strong, and fight for children in foster care. Guys, WE NEED YOU! Attend the CASA Men of Courage Event on Tuesday, October 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 4ORE! Golf at 6909 Marsha Sharp Fwy. Enjoy TEE TIME, FOOD, DRINKS, and learn how you can play a critical role in the life of a child in foster care as the voice for their best interest. Space is limited so sign up today!

A CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate is a volunteer who helps a foster child navigate the child welfare system and ensure their needs are being met while working to help find a safe, permanent home. This is a great, no-obligation introduction to CASA and its mission. CASA staff and current Advocates will be on hand to discuss the increasing need for more male volunteers, what role a CASA Volunteer plays, and how community members can help make a difference in the lives of area foster children. Attendees interested in becoming a CASA Volunteer can also begin the application and sign-up process. Training classes can fill up quickly and space is limited.

To attend, please register at or contact Gabe Ballesteros, Communications & Marketing Director, by Monday, September 15th at (806) 763-2272 or via email at
