The Texas Center for Child & Family Studies (The Center) is partnering with My Life My Choice (MLMC), a survivor-led and nationally-recognized organization that provides interactive training for congregate care providers, law enforcement, social workers, mental health professionals and community agencies to aid them in their care of youth survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. MLMC has been rigorously evaluated and is recommended in the Families First Prevention Services Act: High Quality Service Standards for Specialized Settings Key Considerations for Developing Residential Programming for Survivors and Young People at Risk of Sex Trafficking.

The Center is sponsoring MLMC’s introductory training for its members and child-serving providers statewide, to provide you with the tools you need to better understand, identify, respond to and serve youth survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. This training is open to anyone who has a role in serving Texas children. Registration is free thanks to a generous grant from the Office of the Governor’s Child Sex Trafficking Team.

--> This is Part 2 of this two-part virtual training (Part 1 was on Wednesday, April 14).

My Life My Choice is approved by the NASW for CEUs for social workers. Additionally, The Center will provide Certificates of Attendance to all participants which may be submitted to all other professional licensing bodies for CEU approval.
