  The Toolkit is a training package developed to educate child welfare work
 ers about substance use and cooccurring issues among families involved in 
 the child welfare system. The training is intended to provide foundational
  knowledge to help child welfare workers:\n\n• Understand substance use di
 sorders and other co-occurring issues\;\n• Identify when substance use is 
 a factor in a child welfare case\;\n• Learn strategies for engaging parent
 s and families in services\;\n• Understand potential effects for the paren
 t\, children\, and caregivers\; and\,\n• Learn the importance of collabora
 tion within a system of care.\n\nThe Toolkit contains a range of training 
 materials that were developed to be easily adapted to meet the needs of ch
 ild welfare trainers as a component of the overall training system\, in-pe
 rson workshops\, or training sessions. This webinar will provide an overvi
 ew of the topics in the toolkit and strategies for adapting content for us
 e in your organization.
