CASA of the South Plains is excited to announce the hiring of Jaclyn Howard as our new Executive Director. She will begin in her new leadership role on March 6, 2017. Howard is the former Director of Business Development and Marketing for Communities In Schools (CIS). Her responsibilities included fundraising, marketing, raising public awareness for CIS, and event planning. She combined her exceptional creativity, drive, and leadership skills to help foster community and media relationships that would ensure the success of fundraising events such as the CIS Annual Gala and the Peace Love Mud Volleyball Tournaments.
Prior to joining CIS, she served as a community leader and excelled in business development and management for 18 years in the banking industry. Her passion lies in community outreach and strengthening teams. She has participated in many leadership programs and has served the Lubbock Area United Way for over 15 years.
She thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand an organization’s reach. She has a passion for teamwork, the professional development of others, and a deep desire to improve the lives of community members, especially children. She continues to be a strong advocate for young people in the South Plains and is devoted to helping them achieve their goals and overcome unforeseen situations. She is a mother of three adopted children. During her journey through the adoption process Howard and her family were able to experience the astounding impact CASA volunteers have in the lives of the foster children they serve. This experience cemented her dedication to CASA’s mission to provide a volunteer Advocate to every child in foster care.
Howard is from Snyder, Texas and moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech. In her free time, she enjoys making jewelry, thrift shopping, and learning about antique cars. She loves spending time with her family and three crazy dogs.

With adopted children of my own and a recipient of the services that CASA and its volunteers provide, my dedication runs deep. CASA of the South Plains is a dynamic organization and I am blessed to be joining this team. I can’t wait to get started,” said Howard.
